Editorial policy

Our editorial process is designed to make practical guidance understandable, accurate, and honest about uncertainty.

Last reviewed:

Source hierarchy

For material claims we prefer Telegram’s official apps, telegram.org announcements, official documentation, and first-party support pages. We use reputable secondary sources for context and label uncertainty when first-party evidence is unavailable or incomplete. A third-party bot’s own claims are not independent proof.

Hands-on checks and limits

For procedural guides, our standard is to compare the steps with the relevant Telegram interface and document version-sensitive differences when known. We do not describe a step as tested when it has not been checked. Menus may still vary by platform, app version, region, or staged rollout.

Updates and corrections

We revise articles when evidence shows that a feature, menu, or material fact changed. Substantive revisions use the article’s updated date. Corrections should change the affected passage and its supporting context rather than silently preserving a claim known to be wrong.

Send corrections to security@tgbase.net with the article URL, exact passage, proposed correction, and a supporting first-party source. This security inbox is being used temporarily for editorial corrections until TG Base publishes a dedicated correction channel.

Automated and AI-assisted work

Automated tools may support research organization, drafting, translation, or consistency checks. Generated output is not treated as a source. The same sourcing, uncertainty, safety, and correction standards apply regardless of which tools assisted the work.

Advertising and independence

TG Base may use advertising measurement. Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions, and promotional or sponsored relationships must be labelled where they apply. We do not present advertising as independent editorial advice.

Safety and independence

TG Base is unofficial and does not speak for Telegram. We avoid presenting assumptions as facts, do not describe third-party bots or services as risk-free, and add stronger cautions when an action could affect account access, privacy, or irreversible data loss.
